resin pendants

I finally got around to pouring the 2nd layer of resin for these pendants! They've been sitting around in my room for ever now. There's actually more that I didn't get to.. Who knows how long those will take. I love the way resin turns out but for some reason I just don't do it that often. All the images are cut from vintage books.

1920s/30s Vanity

I fell in love with this gem as soon as I saw it. The mirror is really the best thing. It's HUGE. and amazing.

Side tables & coat rack

I lost the before photos on these but they were all pretty basic. All vintage. I did these 3 pieces the same weekend.

Small vintage nightstand painted 2 tone.:

Telephone stand

The before was pretty basic, just scratched up brown wood. After a little tlc and some turquoise paint, I think it came out pretty cute. This little vintage telephone stand would be great as a nightstand or as a side table.

Modern Coffee Table (60's)

Before:

I really wish I could have saved the top on this table but it just wasn't going to happen. In hindsight, I wish I would have made a new top for this out of solid wood. The legs were so awesome.

I ended up just sanding the top down and painting it a high gloss soft black.

Record Cabinet (70's?)

I was actually with my stepdad picking up a piece of furniture I had bought the day before when I saw this piece.

Before:

My stepdad thought I was crazy for wanting this and just didn't understand.

After:

It ended up cleaning up very well. The bottom shelf turned out to be perfect on the other side so all I had to do was flip that over. With a little bit of paint, gloss, and many failed attempts to put this back together ..(I swear, it was like playing Jenga) it was done.
